Early-access version. Garden of Iron is still in early access. We’re having these pages reviewed by an attorney and will update them before Garden of Iron opens to everyone. If anything material changes, we’ll email you first.
These terms are between you and Botelho Technologies (“we”). By creating an account, you agree to them.
The service
Garden of Iron helps people, personal trainers and strength & conditioning programs plan and record workouts. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but it’s provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will never be down or have a bug.
Train safely
Garden of Iron records training; it doesn’t give medical advice, diagnose injuries, or decide whether anyone is fit to train. Check with a doctor or qualified professional before starting a new program. You train at your own risk, and coaches and trainers are responsible for the programs they write and the loads they assign. A calculated target weight is a starting point, not an instruction to lift it.
Your account
Keep your password private. You must be at least 13 to use Garden of Iron. If you’re under 18, use it with a parent or guardian’s permission (or as part of a program your school or club runs).
Coaches and programs
If you start a program, you’re responsible for who you give its join codes to and for what you enter about your athletes. Only add people who agreed to be coached by you. Remove people who leave.
Price
- Garden of Iron is free during early access.
- We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any paid plan starts, and nothing will be charged without you choosing a plan.
- Athletes and clients who join a coach’s program won’t pay for what the coach assigns them.
- Founding members. The first people and programs to sign on will be offered a lower price, kept for as long as they stay subscribed.
Your data
Your training data belongs to you. We use it only to provide Garden of Iron, as described in our Privacy page. If Garden of Iron ever shuts down, we’ll give at least 90 days’ notice by email and an export of your data.
Fair use
Don’t use Garden of Iron for anything illegal, to harass anyone, or to try to get at other people’s data. We may suspend accounts that do.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for injuries from training, or for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll email you before it takes effect.
Transfer
We may transfer these terms to a company we form to run Garden of Iron (for example, Botelho Technologies LLC); we’ll tell you if that happens.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
