Your own workouts are private to you.
Early-access version. Garden of Iron is still in early access. We’re having these pages reviewed by an attorney and will update them before Garden of Iron opens to everyone. If anything material changes, we’ll email you first.
Garden of Iron is made by Botelho Technologies (“we”). This page explains what we keep, why, and who else touches it. Short version: your training data is yours, we use it only to run Garden of Iron, and we never sell it.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address, units (lb or kg) and password (stored scrambled, never readable).
- Your training: workouts, sets, weights, reps, how hard a session felt, minutes, notes, saved routines, and the maxes you or your coach enter.
- Programs you coach or join: the program’s name, its staff and athletes, teams, workouts and what’s assigned to whom.
- Basic logs: like most websites, our server briefly records requests (such as IP addresses) to keep things secure and fix problems.
Garden of Iron isn’t a medical service. Please don’t put health conditions, injuries or other medical details in notes.
Who sees what
- Your own workouts are private to you.
- When you join a coach’s program with their code, that program’s coaches can see your name, your maxes, and the workouts you log for that program. They can enter results and maxes for you. Other athletes can’t see your weights.
- Leaving a program (Me → Leave) stops its coaches seeing anything new from you.
How we use it
Only to run Garden of Iron for you: showing your workouts, working out your loads, sending password-reset emails, keeping backups, and helping you when you ask. We don’t sell data, rent it, or use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- DigitalOcean: our server (United States).
- Resend: sends Garden of Iron’s emails, such as password resets.
- Backups: nightly copies, kept on our server and on equipment we control.
Children
Garden of Iron isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we’ll delete it.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels over HTTPS. Each program’s data is walled off from every other program, and sign-in attempts are limited. No system is perfect; if something ever goes wrong that affects your data, we’ll tell you promptly.
Deleting your data
Delete your account any time from Me → Delete my account; your workouts and maxes go with it. Backup copies roll off within about 60 days. You can also email us to delete or export your data.
